What is this workshop about?
This express session introduces you to the art of woodblock printmaking. You’ll learn essential techniques and create your own prints from start to finish in just two hours.
What will I learn?
- Chisel handling and carving shortcuts
- Positive/negative space design
- Relief printing and inking techniques
- Using the press and registration basics
- Reduction printing and clean printing methods
- Print studio etiquette and care
Do I need any experience?
No experience is required. The session is designed for beginners as well as those wanting to refresh their skills.
What materials are provided?
All materials are included: chisels, inks, rollers, paper, newsprint, custom woodblocks, and use of the press.
What should I bring?
An old shirt or apron (things can get inky!)
What if I don’t have an idea?
No problem! Inspiration often comes during the process, and I’ll guide you through design options.
What kind of inks are used?
We use water-based inks — they are easy to clean up and environmentally friendly.
How much does it cost?
$150 for a private 2-hour session
$200 total for a two-person session
When can I book?
You can book a session at a time that suits you:
Monday to Thursday: 10am – 9pm
Friday to Sunday: 10:30am – 5pm
Need another time? Just ask — I’ll do my best to accommodate.

Will I take something home?
Yes! You’ll leave with 8 to 12 finished A3-sized woodblock prints — and the skills to keep creating on your own.
