Wellington’s landscape reads as a stratigraphic archive, where layers of memory, mythology, and time are embedded within the terrain. Formed over millions of years by geological and environmental forces, it holds a quiet presence that speaks to endurance, transformation, and the rhythms of change that far exceed our brief human existence. In these new artworks, I respond to that depth by instilling a sense of surrealism—evoking a dreamlike connection to place that blurs the boundaries between memory and imagination.
