Sheyne Tuffery Traditional to Experimental Mono Printing

Explore the dynamic realm between traditional and experimental mono printing where we delve into the world of acetate and tracing techniques, where the focus lies on the manipulation of the transfer plate using various tools such as brushes, water, cardboard, fingers and cotton buds.
This hands-on experience focuses on creating original marks with ink and pressure where careful rubbing and ink manipulation bring your effects to life.
We will then transition into traditional mono printing, painting with ink directly onto the plates. The pressure applied to the ink allows various tone’s of unpredictability.
This workshop will also demonstrate the art of printing without a press, with so many ways to apply pressure.
You will need to bring
- small paint brushes,
- a pencil and pen
- a usb with a couple of images to use a4 size ( photos of anything you want to draw)
- cotton buds and some cotton rags.
